Singer Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has made history by surpassing his compatriot Burna Boy as the artist with the most songs on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats songs chart.
With the debut of nine songs from his new album “Lungu Boy” on this week’s chart, Asake’s total entries have risen to 50.
The singer’s collaboration with American rapper Travis Scott, “Active,” is currently topping the chart, further solidifying Asake’s position as a leading force in the Afrobeats genre.
Since its launch in April 2022, the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart has been dominated by Nigerian artists, highlighting the country’s influence on the genre.
