Ghana Premier League club, Real Tamale United (RTU), have begged for forgiveness over the use of unregistered players in their away match against Dreams FC in which they were beaten 8 – 1.
The Northern Ghana team in a statement says “upon a sober reflection of events at Dawu in our outstanding fixture against Dreams FC on June 12, 2024, management of Real Tamale United football club solemnly render an unqualified apology to the Ghana Football Association, our supporters and the general public over the misconduct of the club.”
According to RTU, the use of unregistered players “was never deliberate and was never intended to ridicule our beloved game.”

It would recalled that Dreams FC had lodged a complaint with the Ghana Football Association over RTU’s use of unregistered players in the match on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 in Dawu.
