This new role means the Nigerian superstar will now have a direct influence on the 2026 GRAMMY Awards, participating in both the nomination and final ballot processes.
The Recording Academy confirmed his inclusion in an Instagram video posted on Tuesday, which featured Davido alongside other notable artists. The Academy’s caption highlighted the importance of their members’ participation in the voting process.

Davido, who received three GRAMMY nominations in 2024, expressed his excitement about the new responsibility. “Understanding the importance of how our voices are heard, I am participating in the GRAMMY Award process,” he said. “It is a game-changer.
