Drake sets record for 100 billion streams on Spotify

Canadian hip-hop star Drake has history by becoming the first artist to reach a staggering 100 billion streams on Spotify.

This monumental achievement was announced by Chart Data on Tuesday night.

Drake aced the competition with the next closest rapper, Eminem, trailing behind with less than half the number of streams.

Drake’s streaming figures are truly mind-boggling, with an average of 234 million streams per song and a whopping 5 billion streams per album.

His chart-topping hit “One Dance”, featuring Wizkid and Kyla, takes the top spot as his most streamed song on the platform, with 3.2 billion streams.

The song also holds the Guinness World Record for being the first to surpass 1 billion streams on Spotify, cementing Drake’s position as a trailblazer in the music industry.
