12-Time World Wrestling Champion Hulk Hogan Dies At 71 After Suffering Heart Attack

A 12-time world wrestling champion and a WWE hall of famer, Terry Gene Bollea, professionally known as Hulk Hogan, has died at the of 71 after reportedly suffering a heart attack at his residence.

 

His death was announced through his official Instagram account.

 

“It is with a heavy heart and deep sadness that we confirm we have lost a legend,” a post on his Instagram account read.

 

According to the post, “our beloved Terry Bollea, known worldwide as Hulk Hogan, passed away today surrounded by his loved ones.”

 

It added that “At this time of grief, we ask that everyone please respect the privacy of his family and friends.”

 

The post further urged “may we all take solace in the wonderful memories he left behind for the millions of fans worldwide whose lives he touched for more than four decades. He will be missed, but never forgotten.”

 

The post did not state that cause of death. But TMZ, the first media outlet to report on his death, said medics were sent to Hogan’s home in Florida after he reportedly suffered cardiac arrest, saying he was taken out on a stretcher.
