A villager in Zambia is being hailed for his bravery after killing a leopard in self-defense. The leopard had reportedly attacked him in the bush, causing him injuries.
Local media reports say the villager, Binwell Nyirenda of Chimulu Village in Senior Chief Magodi’s Chiefdom, Chasefu District, fougt off a leopard attack after he had gone to collect trees for domestic use.
Armed with an axe, he killed the animal after a tense battle.
Nyirenda sustained injuries and has been hailed as a “true village hero” by locals.”
