Victor Osimhen sends message to Chelsea and other potential suitors

Super Eagles forward player Victor Osimhen has revealed how much it will cost any club that is interested in buying him from Napoli or cutting short his loan spell at Galatasaray.

mhen was one of the most sort of strikers among European top clubs and from Saudi Arabia during the 2024 summer transfer window. The Nigerian international was speaking in an interview with Goal, where he confirmed that he was worth more than £100 million, which is the value that Napoli placed on him.

What did Victor Osimhen say about his transfer fee?

Victor Osimhen said in the interview that only a few players are worth more than £100 million, and he is one of those on the list.

“I am worth more than €100 million. There are few players like me in the world who have achieved this style and this success. Everything is linked to my characteristics, to the things I do, to my quality. I think I deserve it. I’m aware of the contribution I make and what I can do, even in my private life. Do people think differently? Some say 15 million, others say 100-120-150. Everyone has different opinions.”

Why did Osimhen’s move to join Chelsea during the 2024 summer transfer window fail?

Victor Osimhen’s move to join Chelsea and other top European clubs failed because none of those teams were willing to pay Napoli’s asking price for him. During his contract extension in 2023, Partenopei included a €130 million release clause in his contract, a fee that put off the likes of Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain.

Osimhen is currently on loan with a Turkish based side,Galatasaray, until the end of the 2024/25 summer transfer window. However, there are unconfirmed reports that Chelsea is looking to open discussions with all the parties involved ahead of the January 2025 transfer window.
