Galatasaray SK announced the permanent signing of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen from Napoli for €75 million on July 31, 2025, via their social media platforms. The agreement includes a 10% profit share for Napoli on any future transfer of the player.
The 26-year-old signed a four-year contract starting in the 2025–2026 season, with a net annual salary of €15 million, a €1 million loyalty bonus, and €5 million per season for image rights. Osimhen, who spent the previous season on loan at Galatasaray, played a pivotal role in securing the Turkish Super Lig and Turkish Cup, prompting the club to finalize the transfer.
Osimhen arrived in Istanbul on July 30, 2025, to an enthusiastic welcome from Galatasaray fans at the airport. His exit from Napoli ends a notable tenure where he became a fan favorite and led the club to a historic Serie A title in the 2022–2023 season.
Galatasaray’s statement read: “Professional football player Victor James Osimhen has been transferred following an agreement reached with his former club SSCN Napoli. A net transfer fee of €75 million will be paid to Napoli. Additionally, 10% of the profit from the player’s future sale will be paid to SSCN Napoli. A four-year contract has been signed with the player, effective from the 2025–2026 season. The player will receive a net annual salary of €15 million, a €1 million loyalty bonus, and €5 million in image rights per season.”
