VEVO UNVEILS 2024 YEAR-END CHARTS: KAROL G and Taylor Swift Reign Supreme as Most-Watched Artists Globally and in the US

New York, NY – December 10, 2024 – Vevo, the world’s leading music video network, has released its highly anticipated 2024 year-end charts, highlighting the most-watched music videos and artists of the past 12 months. The charts reveal a fascinating snapshot of the music industry’s biggest trends and most popular acts, with KAROL G and Taylor Swift emerging as the most-watched artists globally and in the US, respectively.

For the fourth consecutive year, KAROL G has taken the top spot as the most-watched artist globally, with an impressive 3.5 billion views on Vevo. The Colombian superstar is followed closely by Shakira, who accumulated 1.96 billion views, and Taylor Swift, who garnered 1.95 billion views.

In the US, Taylor Swift has retained her position as the most-watched artist for the second year in a row, with 470 million views. Future moved up five spots to claim the second spot, with 462 million views, driven by a staggering 90 video releases on Vevo in 2024.

Vevo’s 2024 charts also highlight the growing influence of hip-hop, country, and regional Mexican genres. Eminem’s “Houdini” is the top global premiere, with 56.2 million views in the first two weeks, while Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” is the top US premiere, with 23.5 million views.

In a historic first, Becky G’s “POR EL CONTRARIO” has become the most-watched music video globally, with over 312.7 million views, marking the first time a regional Mexican music video has taken the top spot. Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” is the most-watched music video in the US, with over 82.9 million views, making it the first country video to top Vevo’s US chart.
