Hardly had the dust raised by his sterling performance in Malaga, Spain settled than the buzz about his recent performance in Toronto, Canada started dominating discourse on social media. This is even as he was a recipient of the prestigious ABEDORC Awards of Excellence.
CEO, Miracle Day Music, Uzoma Day Omenka is not resting on his oars after the death of the reggae icon, Majek Fashek who he managed until his death.
Though Uzo, as he is fondly called by his fans, put his music career on hold to mourn the late reggae icon, he later picked up his guitar and began to do what he knows how to do best. So far, he has released many hit singles which are taking him around the world. Interestingly, on the 19th of October in Canada, Uzo gave a good account of himself again on stage.
Commenting on his award, Uzo said: “I am happy for this award and I thank the organisers for the recognition. It means more responsibility in churning out quality songs which I am well loaded with.
“I am also aware of the fact that I haven’t performed enough in Nigeria. I am working towards being more visible in the country, even though I have to fulfill other obligations. I will be in London soon for another show after performing at the Aso – Ebi festival. I also have another one in Mexico and later in Australia, before returning to Nigeria for more engagements.”
