A United States court has granted a request to release Hajia4real’s passport, paving the way for her deportation to Ghana after completing her prison sentence. This development comes after Hajia4real, whose real name is Mona Faiz Montrage, pleaded guilty to charges of fraud and money laundering .

Hajia4real’s lawyer had requested leniency from the judge, asking for a three-month jail sentence followed by deportation to Ghana. The lawyer argued that Hajia4real had been influenced by a fraud syndicate and emphasized her role as a mother who needs to care for her daughter .

The court’s decision to grant the passport release is a significant step towards Hajia4real’s deportation. However, it’s worth noting that Hajia4real still faces a sentencing hearing, which will determine the length of her prison sentence. If convicted, she could face up to 20 years in prison .

It’s also important to note that the United States has a history of deporting individuals to Ghana and other countries. According to recent statistics, the US deported 258 Ghanaians between 2021 and 2024 .
