South African superstar Tyla has officially confirmed the tracklist for her highly anticipated sophomore album, A-Pop. The announcement comes at a pinnacle moment in her career, shortly after she secured her second historic win at the 2026 Grammy Awards.
A Grammy Victory Lap
Just days before revealing the new project, Tyla took home the award for Best African Music Performance for her hit single “Push 2 Start.” During her acceptance speech and subsequent interviews, the “Water” singer signaled that this new era represents a significant personal and professional shift.
“I’m now 24… I have other things to say and other vibes I want to give,” Tyla stated, describing her transition from a breakout sensation to a confident global woman.
The “A-Pop” Sonic Identity
The album’s title, A-Pop, reflects Tyla’s role as the face of a new genre-blending movement. Fans can expect a 19-track journey that merges her signature “Popiano” (a fusion of Pop and Amapiano) with experimental R&B. The project features previously released hits that have already dominated the charts, alongside a long list of new titles.
