US President, Donald Trump has been diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency, the White House has said.
White House Press Secretary, Karoline Leavitt, made the announcement on July 17, 2025, during her regular press briefings.
She says medical tests carried out on President Trump confirmed the condition but ruled out more serious health issues like blood clots or heart problems.
According to her, doctors described the condition as common and manageable, especially for someone Trump’s age, revealing that it doesn’t impact his ability to carry out his daily responsibilities.
Venous insufficiency is a medical condition that affects blood flow in the legs.
Chronic venous is happens when leg veins struggle to send blood back to the heart, often causing swelling, discomfort, or varicose veins.
