US President, Donald Trump, has shared an image of him on Truth Social, declaring himself “Acting President” of Venezuela.
The declaration comes about a week after the United States carried out an unprecedented military operation in Caracas, which result in the capture of former Venezuelan President, Nicolas Maduro.
It is believed to be the first time in history that a sitting President of a nation will declare himself President of another sovereign nation.
Trump’s post comes with his official portrait and has an “Incumbent January 2026” for the designation.
