Tiwa Savage Challenges ‘False Narratives’ by Showcasing Extensive Female Collaboration History

Afrobeats superstar Tiwa Savage has publicly refuted long-running industry claims that she avoids working with other female artists, setting the record straight with a powerful social media post that highlighted her numerous collaborations.

On Tuesday, October 14, 2025, the singer took to her Instagram story to challenge what she described as “false narratives,” sharing a visual collage of twelve different projects that represented her partnerships with female musicians from across Africa.

The Challenge to Critics

The post, titled “TIWA SAVAGE AND THE QUEENS SHE’S COLLABORATED WITH,” was accompanied by a direct message to her critics:

“Tomorrow they will say I don’t like other females or I don’t work with other females. Please, where are those people that set ring light to spread false narratives? And how many of these beautiful records have they helped us to promote?”

Showcasing Collaborative History

The compilation served as a firm and visual response to the persistent narrative that often pits women in music against each other. It included her work with some of the continent’s top talents:

  • Ayra Starr (on Stamina and Gara)
  • Waje (on Onye and All Day)
  • Simi (on Men Are Crazy)
  • Asa (on Emotions)
  • Efya (on The One)
  • Amaarae (on Tales by Moonlight)

She also featured collaborations with Becca, Wavy The Creator, MzVee, and Di’Ja, among others. By publicly showcasing her extensive collaborative track record, the Queen of Afrobeats strongly reaffirmed her support for female artists and her role in pushing for unity among women in the African music industry.
