It is good that these voices are coming out now so loud. We have started this fight as Kono Mineral Mining Review Project (KMMRP). We wrote position paper followed by detailed analysis of each of our positions to the president.
KMMRP then decided to expand its strength and therefore formed Executives of Kono Organizations (EKO) comprising of every KONO organization that genuinely wants to fight for justice for Kono district.
However, we have still yet not got most of the Kono stakeholders to wake up from their illusions to accept the realities of the present situations.
Most people who claim to love Kono are in fact the greatest enemies of the district. They prefer to keep quiet and turn blind eyes to Kono’s despicable enigma. Why they stay silent is the billion dollar question. Yet they claim to liberate Kono from its Historical Injustice.
EKO is still open and asking all KONOs to rally with them and the First Lady to rewrite our history, defend our dignity and stand up for our rights.
Our tolerance should not be compromised with timidity, and fear.
Let us put KONO First.
To all those who are still reluctant, we call on you to act now, time is running out.
Thanks
