Los Angeles, CA – December 13, 2024 – The 2024 Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs) took place on Thursday, December 12, and it was a night to remember for Taylor Swift, who made history by taking home 10 trophies, including the coveted Top Artist and Top Female Artist awards. With her latest wins, Swift has become the most decorated BBMAs winner of all time, with a total of 49 wins.
The ceremony, hosted by actress and comedian Michelle Buteau, featured exclusive performances by some of the world’s biggest chart-topping musicians, including Shaboozey, Teddy Swims, Megan Moroney, Jelly Roll, Coldplay, Stray Kids, and Linkin Park, among others. The show was broadcast live on FOX and Amazon’s Fire TV Channels, and is available to stream on-demand on Paramount+ and Fire TV Channels.
Other big winners of the night included Zach Bryan, who took home five awards, including Top Country Touring Artist and Top Rock Artist; Morgan Wallen, who won four awards, including Top Male Artist and Top Country Artist; and Bad Bunny, who extended his historic reign as the all-time leader for Top Latin Artist with three wins.
The BBMAs also celebrated the rise of new talent, with first-time winners including Chappell Roan, Benson Boone, Teddy Swims, Tommy Richman, and Tyla. Beyoncé made a surprise win in the Top Country Female Artist category, while Drake solidified his position as the second-most awarded artist in show history with three wins.
