In what fans are calling a “Starboy prophecy come true,” Wizkid’s first son, Boluwatife Balogun (Tife), appears to be stepping into his father’s legendary footsteps, with a new video showing the youngster recording music and sparking widespread speculation of an imminent debut.
The development follows a throwback clip of a younger Wizkid joking during an interview nearly a decade ago that he would happily sign his son to his label if Tife chose a music career.
“If my son ends up being an artist, that’s more money for me. I’ll just sign him to Starboy. Me and my son turn up,” Wizkid had said at the time.

Fast forward to 2025, and that lighthearted comment seems to be manifesting into reality. A new video making the rounds on social media shows Tife Balogun in a studio session, recording vocals for what fans believe will be his debut single.
In the short clip, the youngster is seen fully focused behind the microphone with headphones on, giving a glimpse of the confidence and charisma that defined his father’s rise from Surulere to a global phenomenon.
Although no official details have been released about the track or a possible debut date, fans are already buzzing about the possibility of Tife officially joining Starboy Entertainment or even collaborating with Wizkid himself. For many long-time fans, it’s a full-circle moment, confirming that the musical legacy is already in motion.
