The President of Sierra Leone, Julius Maada Bio, has paid heartfelt tribute to his late mother 25 years after her demise.
In a post on his official Facebook page on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, President Bio spoke about the values his mother taught him that helped shaped his life.
He wrote: “Yae Amie, 25 years have passed, but your love, lessons, and strength remain.”
President Bio says “You taught me the values that shape me today — resilience, kindness, and the power of hard work . I still remember your sacrifices, your laughter, and the warmth of your guidance.”
According to him, “Though you’re no longer here to enjoy the benefit of your labor, your spirit lives on in everything I do . Today, I celebrate you — a great and hardworking mother who left an unforgettable mark . Rest in peace, Mom.”
