A self-style Ghanaian ‘diplomat’ and PhD holder, Kwame Fordjour, popularly known as Dr UN, has thrown jabs at Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie, saying he is a local twi rapper who cannot win a Grammy Award because he is a local artist who raps in only Twi.

In a recent interview, Dr UN did not shy away from criticizing Sarkodie’s career and language choices in his songs.

According to him, the use of the twi language is a big stumbling block to Sarkodie winning a Grammy Award.

He Dr UN noted that “He [Sarkodie] is only a Ghanaian song twister, and he is not winning GRAMMY awards because he doesn’t use the universal language.”

Dr. UN bragged that his experience and achievements in international interventions were more than that of Sarkodie.

He said during the interview that “I am a PhD holder who has crossed many borders and worked on many international interventions that Sarkodie has not reached.”

On August 28, 2020, Dr UN during the 7th edition of his so-called Global Leadership Service to Humanity Awards, presented Sarkodie with a flask, generating controversy, especially after the United Nations office in Ghana said he (Dr UN) was not working with them on the awards as he had purportedly suggested.
