Rotaract Club of Accra-Labone to Deliver Free Eye Care to 200 Beneficiaries with “Sight for All” Project

Access to quality healthcare remains a challenge for many in Ghana, but the Rotaract Club of Accra-Labone is taking steps to bridge that gap through its flagship initiative, “Sight for All” — a life-changing eye care outreach set to take place on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at the Joseph Cramers New Look Optical Centre in Dzelukope, Keta.

The free eye care project will serve 200 beneficiaries from the local community, offering:

  • Free eye consultations and screenings

  • Treatment with eye drops

  • Free eyeglasses

  • NHIS (National Health Insurance Scheme) card registration and support

Collaboration for Greater Impact

“Sight for All” is a collaborative effort between the Rotaract Club of Accra-Labone and partner clubs including:

  • Rotaract Club of Accra Osu-RE

  • Accra-Dansoman

  • Accra-Dome

  • Regional Maritime University

  • University of Ghana

They are also joined by key healthcare partners such as:

  • Dr. Agarwal’s Eye Hospital

  • PharmaNova Limited

  • New Look Optical Centre

  • NHIS

Health for All Ages

The project aligns with Ghana’s national health agenda, offering:

  • Free NHIS registration for children (0–18 years) and seniors (70+)

  • Full coverage of registration costs for adults aged 19–69, ensuring that no one is excluded due to financial constraints

“‘Sight for All’ isn’t just a project — it’s about giving people the chance to live fully. Good eye care should never depend on where you live or what you can afford,” said Jonas Dela Amadzor, President of the Rotaract Club of Accra-Labone.
