Actress Yvonne Nelson has disclosed that releasing her book “I Am Not Yvonne Nelson” was very therapeutic.
She says it took years to come up with such body of work, indicating that it has been an amazing journey.
The actress said that everyone has struggles in life and things they don’t talk to people about, so being able to share her experience was like therapy for her.
She made this statement while speaking at the graduation ceremony of her school, The Yvonne Nelson International School.

“It’s been a wonderful ride. It was something that I was working on for the longest time. That is what people don’t know, and they thought I woke up one day and used a week to write a book.
“We all have difficulties in our lives and things that we don’t talk to anybody about, and it’s been a big therapy for me to release the book. There is so much more I will want to share, but let’s see what happens,” she said in an interview on Thursday, July 31.
Yvonne Nelson in her memoir, ‘I Am Not Yvonne Nelson’ disclosed that she has no idea who her father is and the man she thought was her father turned out not to be her biological father.
The book chronicles her childhood and the hardships she had to endure while revealing her past relationship with rapper Sarkodie.
The book caused a stir and generated many discussions due to the damning revelations it came with.
