Queen Dami, the estranged wife of the late Alaafin of Oyo, has officially filed a petition against her former boyfriend, the controversial musician Portable. The legal move comes in response to what she describes as persistent cyberbullying and the spreading of false, sexualized stories.
The Catalyst: Portable’s Viral Claims
The tension escalated after Portable went live on social media to claim that the pair had reconciled. During the broadcast, the singer questioned why Dami was “denying” him and boasted that he had been financially supporting her. He further alleged that they were still intimately involved, claims that quickly went viral across Nigerian social media platforms.
Queen Dami’s Rebuttal and Legal Action
In a decisive response shared on her Instagram page, Queen Dami posted a screenshot of her formal petition and issued a lengthy statement to “set the record straight.” She emphasized that she has completely moved on and wants no further association with the musician.
“For the record… Portable is my ex-boyfriend, and we are not in a relationship,” she stated. “Any claims that we are dating or that I visit him for sex are completely false. I want nothing to do with him and have moved on with my life.”
Addressing “Sexualized Stories”
Dami characterized Portable’s recent behavior as a targeted attempt to tarnish her reputation. She described his narrative as “disrespectful, harmful, and unacceptable.”
In her statement, she urged the public to stop entertaining the “lies” and confirmed that the matter is now a legal one: “I ask that he stop immediately and that people stop entertaining or sharing these lies, as legal actions have been taken. Once again, PORTABLE has been written out of my life for a long time!”
Protecting Her Legacy
As the former wife of the late Alaafin of Oyo, Queen Dami’s personal life has remained under intense public scrutiny. By filing this petition, she signaled a zero-tolerance policy toward digital harassment and blackmail, prioritizing the protection of her name and peace of mind.
Portable has yet to issue an official response to the news of the petition.
