Sierra Leone’s President and Chairman of the ECOWAS Authority, Julius Maada Bio, held a high-level meeting today with Dr. George Agyekum Donkor, President and Board Chairman of the ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development (EBID), at State House in Freetown.
The meeting, which President Bio described as “very constructive,” focused on exploring collaborative development initiatives aimed at strengthening the economic resilience and growth of the ECOWAS subregion.
“We are eager to explore and collaborate on various development initiatives that will contribute to enhancing the economy of our subregion,” President Bio stated following the discussions.
Dr. Donkor and his team are in Sierra Leone as part of EBID’s continued engagement with member states to support strategic investments across infrastructure, energy, agriculture, and other key sectors.
