In a matter of an hour, Oracle’s co-founder, Larry Ellison’s wealth grew by a staggering $100 billion to overtake Elon Musk as World’s Richest Man.
Ellison, an ally of President Donald Trump, saw his wealth increased by to $393 billion, surpassing Musk’s $385 billion, the Bloomberg Billionaires Index revealed on Wednesday, September 10, 2025.
According to Bloomberg, Oracle’s shares increased by over 40 percent after it gave investors a great outlook for its cloud infrastructure business and Artificial intelligence operations.
On Tuesday, Oracle projected as part of its quarterly earnings report that revenue from its cloud business will increase 77% in 2025, to $18 billion, with additional growth expected in the coming years.
The company again reported an increase in demand among AI companies for its data centres, a development that helped push its stock higher.
Oracle Chief Executive Officer, Safra Catz, says on Tuesday that the company signed $4 billion contracts with customers in the last quarter.
Catz says Oracle expects to sign several more deals in the coming months.
