ODUMODUBLVCK Blasts Hip-Hop Veteran M.I Abaga on Social Media, Declares Loss of Respect

The Nigerian rap scene erupted in drama over the weekend after fast-rising rapper Odumodublvck publicly lashed out at hip-hop legend M.I Abaga in a fiery social media post, declaring he has lost all respect for the veteran.

The Abuja-born rapper, whose real name is Tochukwu Ojogwu, took to X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, November 1, 2025, to announce his position, using harsh and controversial language that quickly ignited widespread controversy.

The Accusations and Insults

In a series of posts that tagged M.I Abaga directly, Odumodublvck accused the veteran of choosing neutrality during a conflict involving “a blatant lie,” claiming M.I decided to “sit on the fence” to protect his carefully curated public image.

“.@MI_Abaga as for you. The whole world are going to be shocked that I am talking to you like this and I know they will come for me because you are very good at portraying the ‘good’ guy. One thing they did not tell you is that I don’t care about public opinion unlike you.”

Odumodublvck ended his tirade with a flurry of insults, calling M.I a “short man devil” and “rat,” before daring him to respond: “You no be my OG. I bet you won’t reply because I am saying the truth.”

Industry Reaction and Silence

The explosive outburst dominated social media, with fans and fellow artists weighing in. While some criticized Odumodublvck for disrespecting a man widely regarded as one of the architects of modern Nigerian hip-hop, others defended his boldness, suggesting his comments reflect deeper frustrations within the industry about hierarchy and authenticity.

M.I Abaga, the award-winning rapper and co-founder of Chocolate City, has so far remained silent on the matter. Ironically, M.I had previously praised Odumodublvck’s rise, calling him “a strong voice for Nigerian rap.”

His last public comments about younger artists came in July 2025, when he stated that he felt “no intimidation from the new generation” and challenged them to match his longevity and impact in the studio. For now, M.I’s silence has only intensified curiosity about whether the veteran emcee will respond or let his reputation settle the feud.
