Angela Okorie and Zubby Michael
Nigerian actress, Angela Okorie, has condemned actor Zubby Michael over how he ‘openly’ gave bundles of cash to the late Junior Pope’s family.
A video recently made the rounds on social media, allegedly showing the moment Zubby Michael brought out bundles of cash from his bag which he handed to the late actor’s family during his burial.
And Angela Okorie is certainly not happy with Zubby for manner in which he gave the cash support.
For her, Zubby was simply trying to use death to show off his wealth, something she finds immature.
She wrote on social media: “Zubby if you really wanted to give money to Junior pop’s family, You for give them quietly”.
She added “The way I Dey take Dey give you that year codedly nobody go know, you carry camera plant make dem Dey video you Dey give bundle of money to JP family, we all know you with propaganda Just get out abeg.
Zubby na young person die , The show case of money wasn’t necessary, but as a local boy that u are , you know you don’t have sense , you don’t know were to do show, and were to behave well, Abi you get money pass all the dignitaries wey come there? Mugu”.
John Paul Obumneme Odonwodo, born May 7, 1981, popularly known as Junior Pope, was a Nigerian actor and film producer known for acting various films in Nollywood including Secret Adventures (2007), Bitter Generation (2010), and Nkoli Nwa Nsukka.
Junior Pope died on April 10, 2024, alongside three others after their boat capsized on the Anam River in Anambra State while returning from a film location.
He was laid to rest at his hometown, Ukehe in Nsukka Local Government Area, Enugu State, on Friday, May 17, 2024.
