The Defence Minister of Nigeria, Alhaji Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, has resigned.
In his resignation letter dated Monday, December 1, 2025, and sent to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Mr. Abubakar cited health reasons for his resignation.
He resigned with immediate effect, Special Adviser to President Tinubu on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, disclosed.
Mr. Abubakar resignation comes amid rising cases of kidnappings and killings across Nigeria by armed bandits.
