A tragic incident has been reported in Mubi Local Government Area, Adamawa State, where the body of a young, yet-to-be-identified woman was discovered with multiple stab wounds behind the fence of Adamawa State University.
Residents of the community discovered the corpse on Tuesday and promptly alerted the police.
Police Investigation and Arrests
Details shared on X (formerly Twitter) by counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama confirmed that the Divisional Police Officer led a team of detectives to the scene shortly after the distress call was received at approximately 12:00 p.m. on October 21.
Makama’s source was quoted as saying: “A distress call was received by the Divisional Police Officer of Mubi North at about 12:00 p.m. on October 21, reporting that an unidentified female corpse was found behind the Adamawa State University fence with multiple st*b wounds.”
The detectives secured the scene, took photographs, and evacuated the body to the Federal Medical Centre, Mubi, for autopsy.
Further police investigation has since led to the arrest of two suspects in connection with the brutal murder. The Adamawa State Police Command is expected to continue its comprehensive investigation to determine the full circumstances surrounding the crime.
