Two Nigerian men said to be friends have died after a Toyoto Camry they were traveling in veered off the road and crashed into a ditch.
Local media reports say the tragedy occurred at the Osisioma flyover in Aba, Abia State.
The two friends identified as Junior Clifford and Mbika were reportedly trapped inside the car in the water-logged ditch.
Reports say another person – a female – also died in the crash.
The Commander of the Abia State Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Ngozi Ezeoma, confirmed the tragedy.
She said the accident occurred at 1:00 am on Tuesday, October 28, 2025.
According to her, the Road Safety Corps brought out the bodies of two male victims.
She says “Their bodies have been deposited in the mortuary. FRSC recovered the vehicle from a ditch with a crane. The vehicle is a Toyota Camry. Preliminary investigation revealed excessive speed which made the driver to lose control.”
