President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has nominated former Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa, as new Defence Minister of Nigeria.
The President wrote to the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, announcing the nomination of General Musa as the new Defence Minister.
General Musa is to replace Alhaji Mohammed Badaru Abubakar who resigned from office on Monday, December 1, 2025, citing health reasons.
General Musa, who will be 58-years-old on December 25, 2025 served as CDS from 2023 until October 2025.
