A tragic multi-vehicle accident along the Sagamu Expressway corridor in Ogun State yesterday claimed the life of a pregnant woman and left several others injured.
The crash involved a payloader, a Toyota Camry (registration number AAB-248 MK), and a commercial tricycle (marked JGB-643 VD).
The Spokesperson for the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE), Babatunde Akinbiyi, confirmed the incident, stating that the Toyota Camry driver lost control, veered out of his lane, and violently rammed into a moving tricycle, killing the pregnant woman instantly.
The payloader operator, the Camry driver, and other male passengers in the affected vehicles sustained varying degrees of injuries. Akinbiyi added that passers-by transported the injured victims to nearby hospitals in Sagamu. The body of the deceased was deposited at an undisclosed morgue.
