A level 300 Economics student at the University of Nigeria, Chrisantus Chukwuebuka Nwankwo, popularly known as DJ Brownlex on campus, has died in a car crash while traveling to Enugu over the weekend to attend Davido’s concert.
According to reports, the bus transporting DJ Brownlex and other students left for the concert late in the evening on Saturday, November 1, 2025.
Reports say the bus they not have “proper headlights” and crashed into a parked trailer along the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway.
The driver of the bus and DJ Brownlex reportedly died on the spot, while other students sustained serious injuries.
Reports say two other level 300 students who were also involved in the accident are unconscious while a final year student is battling a severe brain injury.
The injured students are reportedly receiving treatment at Shanahan Hospital, Nsukka.
DJ Brownlex was buried on Sunday, November 2, 2025.
