The Catholic Diocese of Kontagora in the Niger State of Nigeria has released names of some 265 students and teachers of St Mary’s School, Papiri, who are still being held captive by their abductors.
It would be recalled that on November 21, 2025, armed bandits attacked the St. Mary’s School.and abducted 303 students and 12 teachers.
On Sunday, President Tinubu confirmed that 51 of the students had been freed.
The diocese on Monday, November 24, 2025, released the names of 239 students from nursery and primary schools, 14 students from secondary school, and 12 teachers who remain captivity.
