Two bodies have recovered from a collapsed building in Yaba, a suburb of Lagos.
The three-storey building collapsed on Friday night.
According to the Acting Head of National Emergency Management Agency (Lagos Operations Office), Ibitayo Adenike, confirmed the recovery of the bodies.
According to her, the building at No 333 Borno Street, Alagomeji, Yaba around 8:30pm, trapping several persons.
She noted that search and rescue operation was still ongoing.
She explained that the number of people still trapped under the rubble could not be determined until the building was completely brought down to ground level.
According to her, the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Lagos State Building and Control Agency, and the Nigeria Police Force, were at the scene.
