Renowned Ghanaian gospel musician and producer Nacee has highlighted financial challenges facing gospel artists, particularly the lack of adequate payments for performances.
Speaking to GhanaWeb, he criticized event organizers for underpaying gospel musicians, which he believes hinders the growth of the gospel music industry.
“We lack financial support because most gospel musicians…go to programmes, and the event organizers are not paying them as much as they deserve,” Nacee shared, adding that this financial strain forces artists to struggle more than necessary.
He stressed the importance of financial backing in enhancing their ministry, stating, “With good finances or financial support, we will do more.”Nacee made these comments during the 2024 Praise Achievement Awards held on November 24 at the Perez Dome in Accra.
