Get ready to groove into the New Year with South Africa’s biggest music stars at the 15th annual “Last Dance Music Festival”! This electrifying New Year’s Eve bash will take place at the Royal Showgrounds in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal, and promises an unforgettable night of music and entertainment.
Broadcast live on SABC1, the festival boasts a star-studded lineup featuring Mthandeni SK, Mawhoo, Sjava, Zee Nxumalo, Dlala Thukzin, Usimamane, Aymos, Blaq Major, Khuzani, Focalistic, Ayanda Ntanzi, Ugatsheni, DJ Happy Gal, Goldmax, and Babes Wodumo, among many others.
Local Pietermaritzburg talents like Dura, Stibobo, Cheese, Lucy Ly, Vince Da Major, and more will also grace the stage, showcasing the city’s vibrant music scene.
The event, hosted by popular media personalities Siphesihle Vazi, Luyanda Potelwa Mroza, Njinji, Luyanda M, and Justice Kubheka, is a collaborative effort between Mbawula Investments, Msunduzi Municipality, SABC 1, Ukhozi FM, Isolezwe, and the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs.
“The Last Dance is more than just entertainment,” says Sipho Ndaba of Mbawula Investments. “It’s a platform for artists, especially local talent, to shine, and a boost for tourism and local businesses.”
Last year’s festival injected close to R92 million into the Msunduzi economy, highlighting its significant positive impact.
