Mohamed Salah Wins Historic Third PFA Player of the Year Award

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has become the first player to win the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) Men’s Player of the Year award three times. Salah, who previously earned the honor in 2018 and 2022, beat out a six-man shortlist that included Alexis Mac Allister, Bruno Fernandes, Alexander Isak, Cole Palmer, and Declan Rice.

The 33-year-old was recognized for his stellar performance in Liverpool’s Premier League title triumph last season. He finished as the league’s top scorer with 29 goals and provided 18 assists. His exceptional form also earned him the Premier League Player of the Season and Football Writers’ Association Footballer of the Year titles.

In other awards, Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers was named Young Player of the Year, and former England boss Gareth Southgate received the 2025 PFA Merit Award.
