Michail Antonio’s West Ham Tenure Ends After Decade of Service

West Ham United announced on August 7, 2025, that they will not renew the contract of 35-year-old Jamaican international Michail Antonio, marking the end of his 10-year tenure with the club. Antonio, sidelined since a broken leg from a serious car accident in December 2024, leaves as West Ham’s all-time Premier League top scorer with 68 goals and 34 assists in 268 appearances, as detailed in the sports card above. He also contributed to the club’s 2023 Europa Conference League title, their first major trophy since 1980.

The club stated, “Michail will always be a much-loved and respected member of the West Ham United family,” committing to support his ongoing rehabilitation with access to training, facilities, and medical care. Discussions are underway for a potential non-playing role for Antonio at West Ham. The statement concluded, “Everyone at West Ham United would like to sincerely thank Michail for his outstanding, dedicated service in a claret and blue shirt over the last ten years.”
