Nigerian beauty queen and journalist Mercy Babajide was crowned Miss Aura International Peace Ambassador 2025 in Antalya, Turkey. Already holding the titles of Exquisite Queen Nigeria World and Miss Aura Nigeria 2025, Babajide’s latest achievement strengthens her status as a prominent figure on the global pageant stage.
Hailing from Ekiti State, Babajide overcame visa delays and limited preparation time to shine in the competition. She secured a Top 12 placement in the Intelligence Round, a Top 10 spot in the Best National Costume category, and advanced to the Top 20 finalists on May 23, continuing Nigeria’s strong presence at the annual event.
The Miss Aura International Organization praised Babajide’s diplomatic presence, leadership, cultural awareness, and commitment to advocacy as key to her victory.
In addition to her pageant success, Babajide is a trained journalist and media professional with a Political Science degree from Redeemer’s University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism from the International Institute of Journalism, and certifications in Business Development. She currently works as a newscaster and corporate event host, known for her eloquence and commanding presence.
