In a groundbreaking move to enhance customer value and satisfaction, Ghana’s leading retail giant, Melcom Limited, has announced a strategic partnership with Hollard Insurance to provide one-year free insurance coverage on Samsung products purchased from Melcom stores nationwide.
The exclusive offer applies to a wide range of Samsung electronics—including televisions, mobile phones, refrigerators, air conditioners, washing machines, sound devices, and microwaves—valued above GHS 2,000. The insurance coverage safeguards customers against theft, fire, electrical surges, screen damage, and other unforeseen incidents.
“We are proud to partner with Samsung and Hollard Insurance to offer our customers this unique insurance coverage,” said Ramesh Sadhwani, Managing Director of Melcom Limited. “This initiative is part of our ongoing efforts to provide our customers with exceptional value and peace of mind.”
Customers will enjoy comprehensive repair or replacement coverage—including parts, labour, and service—for one year from the date of purchase. The coverage, however, excludes product accessories. To activate the insurance, customers can easily register via USSD code 899257#.
Lucas Lee, Managing Director for Samsung Electronics, expressed enthusiasm for the initiative, saying, “This effort showcases our dedication to delivering unparalleled value and assurance to our customers in Ghana.”
Daniel Boi Addo, Managing Director of Hollard Insurance, added, “This extension of our Shop and Insure partnership with Melcom is a testament to our mission to provide affordable and relevant insurance solutions for Ghanaians.”
