France and Real Madrid striker, Kylian Mbappe is likely not to participate in the ongoing FIFA Club World Cup as he has been hospitalized in America.Â
Real Madrid confirmed Mbappe’s hospitalization in a statement.
In the statement, Real Madrid announced that “Our player Kylian Mbappe is suffering from an acute case of gastroenteritis and has been admitted to hospital in order to undergo a series of tests and follow the appropriate course of treatment.”
Mbappe has already missed Real Madrid’s opening match of the Club against Saudi Pro League club, Al Hilal. The match on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, ended in a 1 – 1 draw.
