Mayekoo Launches Matching Donation Campaign to Amplify African Social Impact

Mayekoo, a Pan-African social impact fundraising platform, has launched a Matching Donation Campaign to double the impact of donations to non-profit and social good projects across Africa. Running from June 23 to September 15, 2025, the campaign offers a dollar-for-dollar match on all donations, with a total of $10,000 USD (approximately 100,000 Ghanaian cedis) in matching funds available on a first-come, first-earn basis.

“Mayekoo means ‘Well done’ in our culture. This campaign is our way of recognizing Africa’s frontline changemakers and fueling their work at twice the pace,” said Rashidatu, a spokesperson for Mayekoo. “We want to empower as many organizations as possible–wherever they are on the continent.”

The campaign is open to all African organizations currently fundraising on Mayekoo, as well as new NGOs and community organizations launching campaigns during the period. Projects span diverse areas such as sanitation, solar power, food security, and education. For example, in Ghana’s Central Region, the Amazing Girls Foundation is raising funds on Mayekoo to provide free sanitary pads to school girls, addressing period poverty and school absenteeism. With the matching campaign, every donation doubles their impact.

How It Works

  • Campaign Duration: June 23 – September 15, 2025

  • Matching Offer: 1:1 match on all donations

  • Matching Fund Pool: $10,000 USD (~100,000 GHS) total cap

  • Eligibility: Open to all African organizations on Mayekoo and new NGOs launching campaigns during the window

  • Action Steps: Start or promote a campaign on www.mayekoo.com and mobilize your community quickly

Act Fast: Matching Funds Are Limited

The $10,000 USD match pool is distributed on a first-come, first-earn basis, so organizations are urged to act swiftly to unlock maximum funds. They are also encouraged to promote their campaigns using the hashtag #MayekooImpact to boost visibility and attract donors.
