Liverpool Reject Bayern Munich’s €67.5M Bid for Luis Díaz in Summer 2025 Transfer Window

Liverpool have rejected a €67.5 million bid from Bayern Munich for Colombian winger Luis Díaz, marking the first formal offer for the 27-year-old in the summer 2025 transfer window, according to reports from July 15, 2025. The proposal, submitted earlier this week, was swiftly dismissed by Liverpool’s leadership, who are prioritizing squad stability under new head coach Arne Slot and have no intention of sanctioning major departures this summer.

Bayern Munich, undergoing a squad overhaul under manager Vincent Kompany, identified Díaz as a prime target to bolster their attacking flanks. Despite their interest, Liverpool have firmly stated that Díaz is not for sale during this transfer window.

Díaz, who joined Liverpool from FC Porto in January 2022, has become a key player at Anfield, valued for his pace, work rate, and flair in the final third. He contributed 17 goals and was instrumental in Liverpool’s Premier League title win last season. However, reports indicate Díaz is open to a move, with Bayern Munich and FC Barcelona showing sustained interest.

While Bayern may return with an improved offer, Liverpool’s valuation of Díaz exceeds €100 million, reflecting his importance to Slot’s plans for the 2025/26 campaign. With two years left on his contract, the club remains focused on maintaining their core squad, signaling that Díaz is set to stay at Anfield for now.
