Laila Charani, one of Senator Ned Nwoko’s wives, has publicly set the record straight following her recent feud with Regina Daniels, sharing a detailed and candid series of posts on Instagram addressing the controversy, denying accusations, and revealing several shocking claims about the end of Regina’s relationship.

Addressing Substance Abuse and Infidelity Claims
Laila opened by directly addressing the accusations that she engages in substance use, using her post to challenge Regina:
“I didn’t say that I don’t smoke shisha, go bang your head against a wall. At least I don’t do drvgs. I can do blood tests for you and let her do it too.”
Laila also firmly denied any accusations of infidelity, stressing her commitment to her marriage: “At least I am not following men; they are the ones following me everywhere… I don’t cheat.” She emphasized her fidelity, making it clear that she has remained loyal and has no extramarital affairs.
Loyalty, Family, and Independence
The statement highlighted Laila’s fierce protective instincts over her family and her claim that her actions were motivated solely by the safety of her children. She issued a direct warning regarding her son:
“She talking about my son, is she scared to do something to her son? Be careful, I trust my children.”
Laila also used the moment to assert her boundaries against public criticism, calling out a friend named Ann who reportedly criticized her: “Just look at your level before talking about me. I never looked at you and you are not my level, dear. I don’t have friends in my life, how will I look at you? Couldn’t believe she said that about me.”

She clarified that her attempt at reconciliation was for her family, not for Ned Nwoko: “People are saying I came back with an apology, I did this for my children.”
Furthermore, Laila highlighted her financial independence, stating, “I have four houses in Morocco and I have a shop. Please stop this, we are tired of this drama.”
The Core Conflict
Laila hinted that the underlying tension and the reason for Regina Daniels leaving the marriage stemmed from Ned Nwoko’s affection for her.
“He loved me, that’s why she couldn’t accept it and she left him.”
She concluded her post by acknowledging the issue of communication in her statement, adding a note about her background: “If I made mistakes with my English, I am a Moroccan woman and I speak French more than English, thanks.”
