Kofi Kinaata’s Made in Taadi Concert Returns with Record-Breaking 40,000 Fans and 12-Hour Marathon

After a two-year hiatus, celebrated Ghanaian musician Kofi Kinaata’s Made in Taadi Concert roared back to life, drawing over 40,000 fans to Takoradi’s Jubilee Grounds in a record-breaking comeback. The event, a mix of youth empowerment and electrifying entertainment, solidified its reputation as one of Ghana’s most impactful annual gatherings.

 

The festivities began on Friday, December 20, 2024, with a youth seminar at the Western Serene Atlantic Hotel. Under the theme ‘Bridging the Gap – From Dreams to Reality,’ the seminar attracted over 1,000 participants, including students and industry stakeholders. Distinguished speakers such as Philip Osei Bonsu, Wilson Arthur, Kwame Adu Mante, Pamela Arvoh-Mensah, and MP-elect Fiifi Buckman shared invaluable insights to inspire the youth. A team from the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) also led a session on safe migration practices.

 

The main event kicked off on Saturday, December 21, 2024, with a meet-and-greet session at 3:00 PM at the Takoradi Sports Club, followed by performances starting at 7:00 PM. Over 20 emerging artists warmed up the crowd before the stage lit up with thrilling acts by Eno Barony, Samini, Lasmid, Donzy, Abochi, Beeztrap KOTM, Nemesis Loso, and Orkortor Perry. Fans were treated to surprise performances by Fameye and Kwaw Kese, sending the audience into a frenzy.

 

The concert concluded at 7:21 AM on Sunday, marking an impressive 12-hour musical marathon. Fans praised Kofi Kinaata and his team for flawless event organization, blending youth development with exceptional entertainment.

 

Security was a top priority, with over 200 personnel from the Ghana Police, Ghana Airforce, Prisons Service, Private Security, and Ambulance Service ensuring a safe event. No casualties or major incidents were reported, earning widespread applause for the meticulous planning.

 

The success of the Made in Taadi Concert reaffirms its place as a cornerstone of Ghana’s entertainment and youth empowerment landscape, leaving fans eagerly awaiting the next edition.
