Kizz Daniel’s Uncle K: Lemon Chase EP Released

Afrobeats star Kizz Daniel has released a new seven-track EP, Uncle K: Lemon Chase, serving as a prelude to his forthcoming album, Uncle K. This deeply personal project explores themes of love, loss, peace, and joy, resonating with a wide audience.

The EP opens with Black Girl Magic and closes with Police, featuring Mavin’s Johnny Drille and five-time Grammy winner Angelique Kidjo, showcasing a range of emotions. Kizz Daniel collaborates with notable artists like Johnny Drille, Angelique Kidjo, Bella Shmurda, Odumodu Blvck, Zlatan, and Fola, whose soulful and street-inspired contributions enhance the project’s dynamic sound.

Production is handled by Reward Beatz, Blaise Beatz, Magic Sticks, Bando, and Ayzed, all of whom have previously worked on Kizz Daniel’s chart-topping hits. Reward Beatz produced Eyo and co-produced Black Girl Magic with Bando and Blaise Beatz. Blaise Beatz led Secure and Peace I Chose, while Titi was produced by Magic Sticks and co-produced by Reward Beatz and Blaise Beatz. Ayzed produced Al Jannah.

Kizz Daniel describes the EP as a reflection of life’s complexities, stating, “When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade out of it. I wanted this project to feel like real life: sweet, sour, confusing, beautiful. This is music for your heart, for when you’re healing, or hoping, or remembering. I just wanted it to be honest, authentic and true to self.”

Uncle K: Lemon Chase highlights Kizz Daniel’s evolution as a storyteller, setting the stage for his upcoming album and solidifying his lasting impact in Afrobeats.
