Kizz Daniel Gains Ownership of ‘New Era’ Masters

Afrobeats star Kizz Daniel has announced that he now owns the master recordings for his debut album, New Era, released in 2016 under G-Worldwide. Sharing the news via social media, the artist celebrated this milestone as a testament to his fight for creative control and artistic independence.

New Era marked Kizz Daniel’s breakthrough, featuring hits like Woju, Laye, Mama, and Good Time, which solidified his place in Nigerian pop music and shaped modern Afrobeats. However, his 2017 exit from G-Worldwide sparked a legal battle over the rights to his stage name and music catalog, particularly New Era. The dispute forced him to rebrand from “Kiss Daniel” to “Kizz Daniel” and led to prolonged contention.

Despite these challenges, Kizz Daniel thrived independently, launching Flyboy Inc. His recent acquisition of the New Era masters resolves years of disputes, securing his legacy and future earnings from the iconic album.
