American reality TV star, Kim Kardashian, has revealed that she has been diagnosed with brain aneurysm, revealing that the condition was caused by stress she endured from her divorce with rapper Kanye West.
She made the revelation in a teaser for the seventh season of the reality TV show, ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’.
“There’s like a little aneurysm,” Kardashian can be heard saying in the clip, which appears at the start of the first episode. Her sister, Kourtney Kardashian Barker, responds with a surprised “Whoa.”
The teaser shows Kardashian undergoing a brain scan.
In the first episode, Kim opens up about how her past relationship with Kanye West negatively affected her health, describing feeling “like I had Stockholm Syndrome” during their time together.
Kim, a fashion entrepreneur, also disclosed that her cirrhosis used to flare up while she was with him.
According to Mayo Clinic, A brain aneurysm (AN-yoo-riz-um) is a bulge or ballooning in a blood vessel in the brain. It’s also known as a cerebral aneurysm or intracranial aneurysm. One type of aneurysm called a berry or saccular aneurysm looks like a berry hanging on a stem.
Mayo Clinic says “Experts think brain aneurysms form and grow because blood flowing through the blood vessel puts pressure on a weak area of the vessel wall. This can increase the size of the brain aneurysm. If the brain aneurysm leaks or ruptures, it causes bleeding in the brain, known as a hemorrhagic stroke.”
It would be recalled that on Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast, Kim had opened up about what finally broke her marriage with Kanye West, in 2022.
Kim said at the time “I do have a problem of only remembering the good.”
“I’m a really forgiving person… but I really haven’t dated like that, to have those kinds of toxic relationships since I’ve been divorced. I think when you get older, you just don’t tolerate that stuff. You don’t have time.”
