Kenyan President, William Ruto, has arrived in Yokohama City, Japan, to participate in the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 9).
At the meeting beginning Wednesday, August 20, 2025, President Ruto said he and his entourage “will advance the prime position of Kenya as the gateway to our region and the entire continent.”
According to President who arrived in Japan on Tuesday, August 19, “Kenya has many opportunities for investment in infrastructure development, special economic zones, agriculture, energy resources, ICT and digitisation, among others.”
President Ruto was accompanied by Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign Affairs Musalia Mudavadi and other officials.
